70-hour exposure?

Airbrush (not a photo)Talk about a long exposure! I’m not sure I believe it but they say this is an airbrushed painting representing 70 hours of work—not a photograph. If it is genuine, I am at once amazed by his talent and amused that he didn’t just pick up a camera. Is photography art? Is art imitating photography art? 😉

  1. I wouldn’t say it’s really imitating photography. Renaissance artists spend years trying to get a portrait of a person that looked as realistic as possible. This is simply a return to that kind of thinking.

  2. I can assure from being in one of his classes, he is the real deal and this is a painting, he has a few other paintings like this published that if I had not been an airbrush artist, and not seen it myself and the technique, I would not believe it, he is pure talent.
